The Druid Collective, formerly The Mallet Assembly, is UA’s oldest residential honors organization. Founded in 1960, it is focused on autonomy and self-expression. Because of this, we have deep historical ties within UA’s campus.
We host many events every semester, including a weekly Stitch’n’Bitch where members and anyone interested in joining come together to make a craft and talk about how their week is going. We also host events to further engage with campus communities and faculty, as well as game nights and movie nights.
One of the best things about the collective is that you can host an event whenever you’d like. Our autonomy allows each member to actively participate in the collective’s operations, both in terms of events and the internal “politics” of the organization.
With our emphasis on free expression, our members represent a wide range of majors and personalities. You’ll find majors from Anthropology to Zoology, Trekkies to the other major science fiction franchise, board game nerds, bird watchers, and even business majors. Needless to say, UA calls us “eclectic.”
We have on-campus housing in Blount Hall open for any member to live in.
Please join our Discord or GroupMe for further information on how to join and to stay updated on future events!
